Terms

Last updated 31 August 2026

UntrackMe is offered free, as is, by one person. Using it means accepting the following.

No warranty

The service may be slow, wrong, or unavailable. Cleaning rules are best effort: a parameter that is not on the list will pass through, and a rule may occasionally strip something a site needed. Check the cleaned link before you rely on it. Nothing here is guaranteed to be fit for any particular purpose, and the operator is not liable for what happens when it is not.

Fair use

Requests are limited to sixty per minute per IP address. Automated clients are welcome within that budget. If you need more, run your own copy: the code is public and the whole service is a Node process and one SQLite file.

Short links

Do not use the shortener to point at malware, phishing pages, or anything illegal where the service is hosted. Short links that do may be deleted without notice, and so may any short link, for any reason, including housekeeping. Treat a short link as a convenience, not as durable storage. There is no expiry policy and no promise of one.

Availability

The service can change or shut down at any time. If it shuts down, existing short links stop resolving.

The code

The source is published under the MIT licence at github.com/Narek-versatile/untrackme. The licence covers the code. It does not cover this hosted instance.
